Thanks to both of you! I really liked the KUU wax but I think that the NOTwax looks easier to apply. I’ll go with that one and see how it goes. Once again thanks so much!

The best wax to use is not actually wax at all! I like to use Zardoz Notwax which is the worlds slipperiest base lubricant. Its easier to apply, as its an inert (it cant dry up or evaporate) liquid. You just rub it on with the felt pad and go shred. It specifically for skis and snowboards. Id definitely recommend this over wax!

Zardoz Notwax!

I noticed that the more expensive boards have the higher numbers, but what exactly do those numbers mean?

It is the type of sintered base used on the board – the higher numbers indicate higher density and pressure used to make the base material – the better base will have more "pores" and will hold the wax better resulting in a faster board

Good Luck

I don’t know about that particular place but wax jobs usually cost somewhere around 15-30 bucks. Also, a shop that specializes in snowboards (like the one you mentioned) will probably do the best job out of all of the places that offer the service since everyone working there probably rides they’ll know what they’re doing.
