My boyfriend told me that he has been planning a trip with a friend of his, and they are going snowboarding together for a few days in Whistler, BC. He told me that this girl is his old family friend, and they have known each other for 30 years (both of them are in their early thirties). She moved to Hong Kong a while back, and is planning on visiting Canada this December, which is when they are planning the trip for. He said he has invited his sister along, but not sure if she can make it (she lives in Regina, SK). In case she can’t make it, he will still be going with her anyways. He told me that I can come along if I want to. But if I don’t want to (I don’t like snowboarding or skiing), he will go alone. My boyfriend and I live in Calgary, AB. He is thinking of flying to Vancouver to meet up with this girl and drive up to Whistler together. I have been with him for about a year. I do not know this girl, and have never seen her before in my life. He said it is normal that he wants to spend time with friends, whether it’s a guy or a girl. And I should trust him. He also said if I want to do the same thing and go on a trip with a guy friend without him, he would be ok with it too.

So my question is: “Is it normal that I am having uncomfortable feeling about my boyfriend going on a trip with another girl that I don’t know?” I want to hear your honest opinions and want to know if “it’s me being is unreasonable, or is it him being inconsiderate of my feelings”.

I think I would feel uncomfortable about it as well.

Let me explain Canada to you.
In Canada, the seasons dont ever get to an extreme disliking, and the duration of them usually lasts long enough for everyones liking.
Canada has the warm refreshing summers, and the frost bitten winters where you can walk outside and feel the warmth of your lover meditating onto your hands. Theres nearly all of the cultures, urban life in big cities like Toronto, or if you want to live like the notebook or like bands like City and Colour (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=tzI-lRtxx74 ) you can move to a small town. Theres the Rockies, more hunting and forest than the states, and complete central for amazing skiing and snowboarding all year, which is complete bliss. We have free healthcare, we dont say "eh" all the time, and we dont live in igloos or all dress in plaid all year, but some of us do. Its like every country in the world, into this one collage. Its virtually undescribable. Come spend a year here, and you wont disagree with me. Ive been to other counties, and I often find that one constant season year-round is tedious. What do you think?

If were owned by another country, then whats the point of us having a Prime Minister? Whats the point of us having our own provinces? If were so owned by another country why arent are citys called Manchester, Liverpool, etc?

I love Canada! I would never move out of Canada. : ) Home sweet home.

Dude, you forgot how Simple Plan, Hedley, Avril Lavigne and Celine Dion are Canadian!!
