Is it strange that I have this feeling?

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

My boyfriend told me that he has been planning a trip with a friend of his, and they are going snowboarding together for a few days in Whistler, BC. He told me that this girl is his old family friend, and they have known each other for 30 years (both of them are in their early thirties). She moved to Hong Kong a while back, and is planning on visiting Canada this December, which is when they are planning the trip for. He said he has invited his sister along, but not sure if she can make it (she lives in Regina, SK). In case she can’t make it, he will still be going with her anyways. He told me that I can come along if I want to. But if I don’t want to (I don’t like snowboarding or skiing), he will go alone. My boyfriend and I live in Calgary, AB. He is thinking of flying to Vancouver to meet up with this girl and drive up to Whistler together. I have been with him for about a year. I do not know this girl, and have never seen her before in my life. He said it is normal that he wants to spend time with friends, whether it’s a guy or a girl. And I should trust him. He also said if I want to do the same thing and go on a trip with a guy friend without him, he would be ok with it too.

So my question is: “Is it normal that I am having uncomfortable feeling about my boyfriend going on a trip with another girl that I don’t know?” I want to hear your honest opinions and want to know if “it’s me being is unreasonable, or is it him being inconsiderate of my feelings”.

I think I would feel uncomfortable about it as well.

Best skiing/snowboarding place?

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

In your opinion, what’s the best place to ski, snowboard, ice skate and shop in the United States or Canada? I want to go on a trip with my family this Febuary and there are so many choices…thanks!

Personally, I think Vail, CO is the best place in North America. I snowboard and have been to Vail several times. Everytime I go it just keeps getting bigger. You can’t do the entire mountain in one day. You need at least 2 days there. Have fun!!

Snowboard/binding/boots?

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Hey all,

I’m moving over to Canada in around 3 months time to work on the ski fields. I thought buying a snowboard was easy… until i researched a little more.

I’m going to be over there for atleast 6 months, so the quality has to be high. I’ve been to the snow a few times, never tried the terrain park but want to, and i love just cruising down runs. Is there a board that will allow me to do everything? If so which (what bindings/boots).

Or should i go for 2 boards?

ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps.

Im around 178cm tall and 75kg. Size 10.5-11 shoe.

There are boards out there that can do it all a setup i’d recommend is….

Travis Rice Libtech board- you can take this anywhere on the mountain

Rome Targa Bindings

DC Superpark boots

For people who live outside Canada in the south; do you wish you lived in Canada?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Let me explain Canada to you.
In Canada, the seasons dont ever get to an extreme disliking, and the duration of them usually lasts long enough for everyones liking.
Canada has the warm refreshing summers, and the frost bitten winters where you can walk outside and feel the warmth of your lover meditating onto your hands. Theres nearly all of the cultures, urban life in big cities like Toronto, or if you want to live like the notebook or like bands like City and Colour (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=tzI-lRtxx74 ) you can move to a small town. Theres the Rockies, more hunting and forest than the states, and complete central for amazing skiing and snowboarding all year, which is complete bliss. We have free healthcare, we dont say "eh" all the time, and we dont live in igloos or all dress in plaid all year, but some of us do. Its like every country in the world, into this one collage. Its virtually undescribable. Come spend a year here, and you wont disagree with me. Ive been to other counties, and I often find that one constant season year-round is tedious. What do you think?

If were owned by another country, then whats the point of us having a Prime Minister? Whats the point of us having our own provinces? If were so owned by another country why arent are citys called Manchester, Liverpool, etc?

I love Canada! I would never move out of Canada. : ) Home sweet home.

Dude, you forgot how Simple Plan, Hedley, Avril Lavigne and Celine Dion are Canadian!!
